Cookies. The short version.

01What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember things between pages and visits - that you are signed in, what you put in a basket, which settings you chose. Related technologies like local storage and session storage do a similar job inside the browser itself. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, alongside UK GDPR) requires consent for cookies except those strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for.

That exception matters here, because strictly necessary cookies are the only kind we use anywhere.

02Cookies on this site

dadlinktechnologies.co.uk sets no cookies. None. It runs no analytics, no advertising tags, no social media pixels and no tracking of any kind. It is a static site: it serves you pages, and that is the whole transaction.

One technical footnote: the site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That is a font file request, not a cookie - Google receives your IP address to serve the file, which is covered in our privacy policy, but no cookie is set by it.

03Cookies in our products

Our products are working software - CRMs, invoicing platforms, booking systems, communications tools. Signing in and staying signed in requires the browser to remember who you are, so products use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage for:

• Authentication - keeping you signed in to your account securely across pages and visits
• Session integrity - protecting your session against cross-site request forgery and hijacking
• Preferences - remembering settings the product needs to function as you configured it
• Checkout - completing a payment you initiated (see section 04)

These do not require consent because the service you asked for cannot work without them. Our products do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If a specific product ever needs anything beyond the strictly necessary, that product will tell you what and why, and ask before setting it - its own cookie information takes precedence for that product.

04Third-party cookies

A small number of third-party services our products are built on set their own cookies while doing their job:

Each of these providers publishes its own cookie and privacy documentation, and each acts under a data processing agreement with us as described in our privacy policy.

05Managing cookies

Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies - the setting lives under Privacy or Site Settings in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and mobile. You can block cookies entirely if you wish.

Be aware of the trade-off: because the only cookies our products set are the ones that keep you signed in, blocking them means you will not be able to stay signed in or complete a checkout. Browsing this site, and the public pages of our product sites, works fine with cookies blocked.

06Changes and contact

If our use of cookies changes - a new provider, a new category - this page changes with it, and the version and date at the top tell you what you are reading. Material changes affecting product users will be flagged in the product.
